Small studio, stubborn standards

Seventeen people, one loft in Bukit Bintang, and a rule we have never broken: nobody works on your project who you have not met.

Our story

From a kopitiam table to 240 launches

BrewWorks began in 2014 when a designer and a developer kept meeting at the same kopitiam, complaining about the same thing: agencies shipping beautiful websites that sold nothing, then disappearing before the analytics could embarrass anyone.

The fix seemed obvious — keep the team that built the site accountable for what it earns. Twelve years later that is still the whole business model. We design, we build, we measure, and we stay.

The name? Good coffee and good websites fail the same way: rushed extraction, wrong temperature, no patience. We take the slower route on both.

What we believe

The house rules

Revenue is the brief

Awards are lovely. Enquiries pay salaries. When the two conflict, we know which one the client hired us for.

Show working pages, not pictures

You review your site on your own phone from week five. Static mock-ups hide too many sins.

Say the uncomfortable thing early

If the budget is wrong, the timeline is fantasy or the idea will not convert, you hear it in the first call.

Stay small on purpose

We cap the number of builds per quarter. Growth that dilutes the work is not growth we want.

Who does the work

The people you will actually talk to

A BrewWorks designer walking the team through a sitemap and user flow planning wall

Your project team is three to five people, always including a lead designer and lead engineer who attend every call. Farah Aziz runs the design practice and still sketches every sitemap herself. Wei Lun Tan leads engineering and has a personal vendetta against slow checkouts. Sarah Krishnan heads the conversion team and reads more session recordings before lunch than most agencies read in a month.

Around them: designers, PHP engineers, a content strategist, two researchers and the analysts who keep everyone honest. No account managers passing messages — you talk to the people holding the pens.

We work from Suite 27-03 in Menara Keck Seng on Jalan Bukit Bintang. Clients in KL are welcome any weekday; everyone else gets the same team over video, which is how a quarter of our client base in Singapore and Australia prefers it anyway.
